| In the beginning …………. We founded Challenge Marketing in 2003 with the company being aptly named because we own and cherish a Dodge Challenger – yes we are petrol heads. (and…you don’t have to be clever with names after all!) Brian had a workshop manual for a Challenger for nearly 30 years and then we finally got the car to match the book. I always thought this was the wrong way round! We live in South Otago as a life style choice – The people are great and the climate suits us. You actually get 4 seasons down here (sometimes all in the one day!). I have been involved in the printing industry for over 30 years initially with self adhesive labels and then on to commercial print. However the lure to the exciting world of promotional marketing was too strong - specifically with promotional products and apparel. So for the last 15 years this is where I have been involved. The last 7 ½ years has been with the creation and development of Challenge Marketing. Throughout my time in the printing industry and more specifically the last 7 years with promotional products, it has been a privilege to work with some very large and dynamic companies - please download our Company Profile for more information.
Brian also has had an involvement with promotional products in this time. He has done a lot of sales and marketing but is basically behind the scenes now – we all need this support plus some muscle when necessary! I often get asked “what do you do?”. My reply is that “I help your business to promote its products or services through the use of Promotional Products”. You see, it’s all about you, not us!
